Dr. So is a proud, new Active member of Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOA). On September 20, 2022, the Board of Directors met, and one of the more exciting items on the agenda was to accept several new members to the association.
Mid-America is the regional orthopedic society formed in 1982 for orthopedic surgeons for 20 states across the middle region of the country (https://www.maoa.org/about-us). The mission of the MAOA is to serve its members through outstanding educational and fellowship opportunities and to provide value-added services, at the annual meeting and throughout the year. Educational grants include multipurpose resident grants for PGY 2-6, traveling fellowships, and awards for top-rated papers by physicians in training at the Annual Meeting, among others.
